Which NERC Reliability Standards Apply to
Your Cooperative? |
|
Do you have your Sabotage Response
guidelines in place? Is your Critical Cyber
Asset information in order?
Maybe you need to get busy. . .or maybe
not. It all depends on when the reliability
standards become effective for cooperatives
and the entity classification of your
cooperative. But, one thing is for sure;
NERC’s compliance authority will apply to
all bulk power system owners, operators, and
users.

Is It Time for Your Appliance Saturation
Study? |
|
The Rural Utilities Service (RUS)
requires that many electric cooperatives
conduct a residential consumer survey at
least every 5 years to obtain data on
appliance and equipment saturation and
electricity demand. These surveys,
typically referred to as an Appliance
Saturation Survey, are used to more
accurately develop a load forecast. In many
cases, the survey is conducted by the G&T on
behalf of its member systems.
