EnerVision Supports Georgia EMCs with Recent
Wholesale Power Agreements

EnerVision, Inc., an Atlanta-based business, marketing, management and technical analysis consulting firm, recently provided significant power supply planning support for eleven (11) Georgia Electric Membership Corporations (EMCs) to meet their power supply needs which culminated in the signing of long-term wholesale power agreements with the Southern Company.  Under these agreements, Southern Company will supply the capacity and energy needs of the EMCs by utilizing the existing resources of the EMCs, and by providing the additional capacity needed to serve their future load growth.  Service under the contracts begins June 1, 2002.

The eleven (11) EMCs involved with these power supply planning activities are Carroll EMC, Coweta-Fayette EMC, Flint Energies, Irwin EMC, Lamar EMC, Middle Georgia EMC, Ocmulgee EMC, Oconee EMC, Okefenoke REMC, Sawnee EMC and Tri-County EMC.  They serve a combined population of almost one million in 61 Georgia counties and two (2) counties in Northeast Florida.  These EMCs reliably and economically serve a broad range of residential, commercial, industrial and agricultural customers, all of whom are member/owners of their EMC.

“EnerVision has been and will most likely continue to be an integral part of our power supply efforts in the future,” said Flint Energies President/CEO Joe Cade.  “EnerVision provided the expertise to help us move ahead with meeting this primary business need effectively and sooner than if we had tried this on our own.”

EnerVision is an independent, employee-owned consulting business serving primarily cooperative clients in more than 25 states.  Major areas of expertise include power supply planning/negotiations, forecasting services, transmission/substation/SCADA planning and implementation, diversification business services, and implementation of new state-of-the art business options like green power, automatic meter reading systems, load management alternatives and distributed generation options.  EnerVision’s mission is to help our clients succeed in their markets.  For more information on EnerVision, call 1-888-999-8840 or visit www.enervision-inc.com.
