EnerVision Names Barry Birkett Vice President

EnerVision’s Board of Directors announces the promotion of Barry Birkett from Principal Consultant to Vice President.  Mr. Birkett has over 25 years of broad electric utility experience specializing in rates and pricing; power supply analysis and negotiations; and contract administration. 

Mr. Birkett will lead EnerVision’s analytical services practices and head the Financial & Pricing Services practice area.  He has been with EnerVision since its inception providing technical services to help meet EnerVision clients’ needs.  Mr. Birkett has led or been a key player in the negotiations of major power supply agreements benefiting a number of cooperative clients with power purchases under these agreements valued in the tens of billions of dollars.

After graduating from Georgia Tech, Mr. Birkett spent 16 years with the Florida Power & Light Company (FPL), where he held a number of analytical and customer contact positions, including seven years as Manager of Rates & Research.  He has testified before both federal and state regulatory agencies. 

Mr. Birkett holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Management from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a Masters of Business Administration from Florida International University.
